Abstract

The composition and microstructure of ash from coal burning were studied using up-to-date analytical methods. Caked aggregates, finely disseminated particles differing in mineral genesis and irregular trace element (Mn, Zr, V, Co, Ce and Y) distribution are noted. This should be taken into account when developing combined technologies for their recovery.
